With his love leaving him he lost all will, he couldn’t stand everything about him that reminded him of his time with her.


Watching the sunset Thalin turns his back to the setting sun and, with tears in his eyes he reaches behind him, he grabs his right wing first, he then rips it out of his own body, crying out in agony and falling to his knees, he reaches around and grabs his other wing, then rips that one out. As he lies their shuddering, crying, shadows surround him as he changes his form, for possibly the final time. Long black hair falls around his face, scars appear where his wings once were, he shapes his body to that which he hates the most, but the only form that plagues his mind, day and night, a wolf. His fur changes to a pitch black; dark blue stripes appear across the fur in a Bengal tiger pattern. As he continues to cry he stands up and pulls his sword out of his chest, his father sword, his birthright, his curse. He turns it towards himself, and pierces his very heart, he then breaks the blade, shattering it, and sealing the wound shut, leaving a scar right where his heart is. As he stands he summons a shirt to hide the scars that will be with him forever, he ties his hair into a pony tail, keeping out of his face in case he is attacked, he turns and watches the full moon rise, he gives a mournful, broken hearted howl.


It is said that his wounds will heal in time, though the scars that were made by his love, will remain with him for all eternity. For him to truly be able to fly high again, he’ll have to find a new set of wings, ones that will take him away from all pain.

The chariot is one of the most complex cards to define. On its most basic level, it implies war, a struggle, and an eventual, hard-won victory. Either over enemies, obstacles, nature, the beasts inside you, or to just get what you want. But there is a great deal more to it. The charioteer wears emblems of the sun, yet the sign behind this card is the moon. The chariot is all about motion, and yet it is often shown as stationary. It is a union of opposites, like the black and white steeds. They pull in different directions, but must be (and can be!) made to go together in one direction. Control is required over opposing emotions, wants, needs, people, circumstances; bring them together and give them a single direction, your direction. Confidence is also needed and, most especially, motivation. The card can, in fact, indicate new motivation or inspiration, which gets a stagnant situation moving again.
