I'm becoming somewhat active again on here and elsewhere (F4L). If you hadn't noticed already, I actually have a fursona now, it's something I'd been debating for quite awhile. And yeah, single again (thus the reason my appearances are becoming more frequent). Lessee, what else? I reserved a room for RainFurrest a few weeks ago so that is a definite go.
Attended pride on Sunday which was fun, but I got badly sunburned on my face and arm. After pride the furiends I was with had to catch a copuple buses to get back to their house and in doing so we unintentionally stumbled upon the Michael Jackson tribute that was happening at Union station. We watched that for about a half hour which was nice. I know a lot have been talking about him, but that won't stop me. As a kid he was my hero (well, so were Bruse Lee and Godzilla). The first movie I ever owned was Moonwalker and I loooved that thing. His music was the only music I regularly listened to (until I started watching VH-1 Classic) and I would dance around and sing his songs constantly. These days I can say I like his music, but as for actually being among my top 10 fave artists he kinda got swept aside. Even though his stuff doesn't have an impact on me today it certainly did when I was younger and so I guess it must have helped shape who I am today. So Michael, I salute you.
Hmm, think I'll be going up to Arlington to celebrate the 4th with the folks because I see them less and less on the weekends since I keep attending furmeets and for the last month uh... yeah. The 4th has always been my favorite holiday, there's just something about it. The firweorks are wonderful but there's also just a feeling in the air, plus I love going out at night and seeing a blanket of smoke covering the city. Falling asleep to the sounds can be very nice too if it's just a bunch of popping and crackling as opposed to the huge firecrackers peeps let off. Also, I always found the 4th to be very romantic or rather it could be not that that matters this year, but perhaps next year.
P.S. The latest albums from The Sounds and Placebo are sweeeet.
